Your idea seems to be that if the economy weakens the stock market will decline. This may be true, but not all stocks will decline (of course).

My point is that in a declining/flat/rising stock market, some stocks will go up. It's that simple. The areas in tech that I think will go up even if the economy weakens are cell phones, printing/imaging and networked storage/security. The growth in these areas will outweigh the weakness in the economy.

As for CMVT, it is a US company in the S&P 500. All S&P 500 companies are incorporated in the US.
