It is not common sense to treat all international relations as if anarchy were the accepted norm. Technology has reached a point where unilateral agression can literally destroy the world. If the nation-state model is allowed to lapse, then what would take it's place? The PNAC model would seem to be a single political entity for all. Common sense says this is a prescription for a dictatorship like the world has never before seen. Each time the Bush administration tries to blur the distinction between nation states and criminal gangs our world becomes a bit more dangerous. TP
