I don't think the answer is to censor Hollywood for making these movies. The answer is to make appropriate choices about what we are comfortable seeing and what is and is not in our childrens' best interest to see. Bad parents will find some way to mess up their kids, in the end. They don't need Hollywood's help.

Bingo. The more that government tries to take over parenting responsibilities from parents, the more parents will turn into non-parents. Yes, some kids will be screwed up no matter what we do. Better, IMO, to demand that parents take the responsibility of parenthood instead of treating them, too, like children.
