Maybe he should have done what Cheney did: get (4) student deferments in a row... then say "I had other priorities'.

You see Rex, this is why you're worthless to debate. I said Bush high tailed it to Nebraska, you called that a lie. I showed you the quote where Bush says himself he was trying to get out of harm's way and you change the subject. That's not the kind of debate i have any interest in. I'm sure Giuliani was being counseled to seek shelter while NY was under attack too. But he thought it was more important to be a strong leader in the face of danger. He thought his city was more important than his personal safety. Bush made a similar choice to stay out of harm's way when he checked the box saying he didn't want to go to Vietnam on his guard application. I said we don't know if Kerry would've insisted upon not fleeing to safety if he had been President on 9-11. But we do know he's chosen duty over personal safety in the past. Steve Dietrich
