Joey,

Accelerated depreciation is scheduled to end next year. I wonder if the uptick in IT sending is partially artificial?

Hi Joey,
Laura Canigliaro of Goldman put out a bullish report on technology spending this week and there are other good signs for the overall economic outlook also. I thought for a long time that the recovery of telecom equipment would finally mean a real tech recovery (assuming the internet is really driving most tech growth) and it looks like its finally here.

The problem is the trade deficit and dollar. We just can't lose another 1/3 on the dollar against the Euro and expect the markets to hold. And any job growth we do get will be mitigated against this huge offshoring current. But if we can get improvement in any of these things, then it could be an ideal time to invest in tech it seems to me. For now we are in a correction at best, Cramer says this was day one of capitulation. The naz usually holds on the "80s" level so if we get further weakness it should hold at 1880 or so.
