This debt clock may be more effective since it is moving.

This debt history table is also interesting

The debt slowly creeps up to a trillion by 1980. Then twelve years of Reagan and Bush 41 explode it to 4 trillion. It rises at a slower pace in Clinton's first term and slows to a crawl in his second term. Junior takes over and it again explodes to new records.

The amazing thing is that the Republicans are considered the party of limited government and fiscal responsibility.

What a joke.

At least it would be a joke except for the fact that we are dumping this incredible debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren.

The joke's on them.
