I lived in Europe in the 70's and they didn't like us then either. I lived in South America at the end of the 70's and they did not like the US. I lived in Costa Rica in the 90's and guess what, they did not like our policies either. So what's new?

Taxes are a bummer but even worse is not paying our bills and becoming a huge debtor state which is disrespected and poorer as a result. Under Bush the dollar has fallen about 35%. That represents what the world thnks of the Bush economy. Try going to Europe as a tourist. You won't like oit. Now foreigners can come in and buy up the US cheap. And Bushies pretend to distrust foreigners.

You never replied about Ken Lay being on his friend Teresa's Heinz Environmental Fund board. Still waiting for the official response?

Much more complicated issues than your post are involved, not all are to be blamed on Bush or Clinton. The dollar helps our exports and the inefficiencies in many of our bloated industries. I agree with you about the deficits but don't have real hope that Kerry will do much differently. He already has suggested that more needs to be spent on the military and I agree with him. Will he weed out the inefficiencies? So far no party or politician has been able to attack the vested interests. Instead, they want to raise taxes by calling the upper middle class "super wealthy." Of course, they will bring their own vested interests and patronage suckers in with them and we will have more of the same.
