It's really very simple, Lizzie. Taxes are an expense on the P&L just the same as any other expense. Is that really so hard to figure out?

Lizzie, that is absolutely untrue. Good managers are always concerned about taxes, as they are with all costs.

10 years ago people bought this crap but no more. I've hired a ton of people in my life and nowhere were corporate taxes a concern. Which is precisely why corp profitability is at an all time high, and taxes at a 70 year low, now.
