Ted, They are not stupid.....they know that adults discourage promiscuity so they tell us what they think we want to hear.......and then they go have fun. So most kids who make virginity pledges are actually liars who are just trying to please their parents and their pastors, then go out and sleep around. I once had a coworker whose teenage daughter made that pledge. She even had a "purity ring" given to her by her mother. And she is one of the most faithful, genuine people I know of. Is she the exception to the rule? My take on the morality of children is done on a case by case basis....just as I do with adults. So when you made the blanket statement, "Who said people aren't hypocritical," which case were you talking about? Tenchusatsu
