TC and all,

I'm getting a new Dell desktop later this week. Before I ever introduce it to the net, what are some things I should, emphasis, should load on to it first? Right now, I'm getting popups on this HP faster than I can dump them, and that's after activating PanicWare's Pop-up stopper. I want to protect that new machine like a daddy with a virgin 16 year old beautiful daughter.

Yes, it was working before Office 2003 was installed.

And none of those solutions in that link worked. Uninstalling Norton didn't work either - some things were still there.

I have no idea what "wild tangent" was. My computer guy (Tom) got it last week from who knows where (his security is much higher than mine) and he says it is similar to a worm.

Odd Problem:
My lightning fast 1 year old banged on the keyboard and the display on the monitor rotated to the left 90 degrees, which is ok if you dont mind laying the monitor on it's side or lying down while looking at it. Is there a keyboard command that will rotate the display? there must be. How do I rotate it back?
