Jay,
then we must exercise maximum caution, because 'things are not right' :0)

Agreed, with all your points. Must add one which compliments those points.

Let us say I take out a mortgage or some other loan. That money (or vast majority of it) is not really in the bank, it is created by the Fed (overly simple, but will do).

Now I pay off mortgage or loan, money goes back to bank. Since it is Fiat money, unless it is loaned out again, it disappears, POOF!

CB's are having a hard time keeping the boat steady in stream of currency flows that is rapidly turning into whitewater.

A large thundering sound is ahead and a mist above a sudden horizon, could it be a waterfall ahead?

(The end of a Plateau looks a lot like a Cliff and would feel the same.)

Stay cautious my friend, with the best running shoes and a good light to find the Exit in the dark.

In an election year cats turn into rabbits. A 'Open Sesame', here, an assault in the truth there a make up in the numbers over there and Sim Sala Bim! things start looking "good"

We can think what the guys had agreed when they met: Schroeder, Blair and Chirac, followed by Schroeder trip to Washington.

This is not the chase yet.
