We have the technet lobby which most mid-level management people like me pretty much supported until recently. The Technet lobby is right now funding anything and everything if it means they can move more of their companies to India while still calling themselves US firms, paying little or no corporate taxes, with no options expensing and an ability to bid on large US government works projects. In the 90s Technet wanted a lot of the same things except without the offshore component, so then it "rose all boats". Now its a clear case of business vs. little guy. We know who usually wins those battles.
