Sidney, I hope you don't judge all Christians by the examples set by James, and Brian. They are in the minute minority.

I watched Billy Grahm on prime time live tv last night. He told a story about what happened to him during an airplane trip. He said an inebriated, very drunk man came up to him and shook his hand saying, "Mr. Grahm, I just wanted to thank you for helping me. You saved my life and I just wanted to tell you so." After laughing, it rang so true about so many today who claim to be Christians. His actions betrayed his statement to Mr. Grahm, imo.

That is like church members who go to church, hear the music and the sermon and feel the Presence and think they are a Christian. In reality, they are still blind, believing they are saved but having no power to straighten out their false beliefs and habitual sins.

"Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also." Matthew 23:26

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

I believe that it is because that many, who have a sense of community, play the part but lack the love of Christ to take up his cross. Taking up the cross of Christ is hardly Christianity 101 because so very few have the desire to die to the flesh for God.

Have you ever sacrificed or suffered for Christ, Sidney?

James
