Untrue - here's what the CIA had to say today. On the terrorists' pursuit of chemical, biological and nuclear arms, Mr. Tenet said networks of people are helping terrorists with scientific knowledge and their hunt for material in areas stretching from the Near East to Europe. Osama bin Laden has said that to acquire chemical, germ or nuclear arms is a religious obligation, and in addition to al Qaeda, more than two dozen terrorist groups are seeking chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials, Mr. Tenet said.

Yes, very soon the American public will realize that going after Saddam was not very much in US public interest. We have had and continue to have many dictators who are brutal rulers. We don't pay much attention to them because they do not impact us. Similarly. Sadam did not impact us to that degree that we have had to take funding from No Child Left Behind, job retrainig programs for our workers etc. and use that instead for the Iraqi war. People will realize very soon that it was not worth it. It just served the interests of Halliburton as they were the only ones who benefited from it.
