No there isn't. True, there is Tejas and Intel has been making noises about PentiumM on the desktop. Tejas is at least a year out. PentiumMD might be sooner, although I suspect they would want to up the FSB speed. Probably the thing that will take the most time will be Intel marketing trying to come up with a strategy...

Which, as you note, doesn't do squat for servers. While I am relieved that Intel adopted AMD64 pretty much as is, I just can't believe that a) they announced well before it is available, and b) it's 1 and 2 way only for at least a year. Considering that the P4E, uh, EE I guess, is conspicuous by it's absence and a Xeon64MP needs a large L3 cache, might Intel be having some problem making large caches in their new process? I can't imagine what it could be, but...
