There's a film, "At Play in the Fields of the Lord." It's about how a couple of drug dealers have to force land their plane on the outskirts of nowhere in the Amazon. What they find is a small village controlled by a captain who works for a dictator, his military enforcers, some converted natives and a few missionaries.

The captain's job is to push the Indians back deeper into the rainforest in order to pave the way for corporations (guess whose?) who want to rape the natural resources of the area. One of the drug dealers, the pilot, happens to be a Native American Indian. The movie plays out quite an identity battle between the players involved.

Strongly recommend seeing this film. Saddam would have been, and once was, sort of, a great dictator for American interests; however, most the deals he could have got were made with the Saudis and smaller Arab monarchies. But America did like him when he was willing to militarily confront Iran.

Whether oil, diamonds, gold, silver, tin, rubber, timber or plants for pharmaceuticals--the push is on! The only victims, of course, are the many as the needs of a few become well-tendered whether by dictators, two-bit juantas, Pinkerton-types or Soldiers of Fortune.

Fact of the matter is the world--historically led largely by America and Europe--has been and s doing business the wrong way. When you add it all up? No wonder there's terrorism! Bush says people don't like freedom. What a stupid statement that is! Everybody likes freedom. But one thing people don't like, and that's having their natural resources taken from them for the benefit of only a few. This is a natural selection--or objection--in the world of order!
