The female teachers did NOT get their hair done every day. They couldn't afford it.
True. What they could do, and well, was TEACH.

And they took no backtalk, lip, or troublemaking. I can say that from personal experience! :-)

We swam in a wide place in the stream, which we shared with a nest of Copperheads until our parents finally came and cleared them out.
Not only that, but apparently IQ had increased by the time I was born. :-)

Plenty good enough to blow a bubble into the hair of the girls sitting in front of you in class and send her crying to the girls room and you to the principal's office.
Uh hum! I never did that!

I got sent for other reasons.
