the Alaskan public, including the Inupiat Inuit who actually live in ANWR, strongly support oil development there. What to they know? It's the liberals in California and Washington (the swamp, not the state) who know what's best for a state few if any of them have ever seen or visited, and would be caught dead actually living in. The LA Liberals lobby for keeping Alaska untouched while they keep driving their expensive cars dozens of miles into the suburbs every evening to make sure the pollution level stays at dangerous levels because they won't touch public transit with a ten foot pole.
