FWIW, I made a point not to mention free speech in that post. I intentionally made the "chilling effect of repression" comment because so many on the left abuse the notion that their rights to free speech are being stripped away, when no rights have been infringed in reality. I knew it would get some folks out to defend the highly unusual act by the SF Chronicle. I recognize they have that right. Now keep that in mind when Tim Robbins & his peers stand up in front of a TV audience & screams about their free speech rights are being squelched.
