Did you read my post. Who are the "certain groups who are paying big bucks to dominate the discussion" You have made this assertion, but you haven't said who you have in mind.

Assuming this were true I am at a loss to understand what you mean by "...it isn't free anymore." Do you mean that because some group dominates the discussion that somehow that means that they are not engaging in free speech? Or that because someone spends money advertising a point of view others who have an opposite point of view are deprived from stating it? Or do you mean something else?

I understand that people with deep pockets and for that matter people with not so deep profits push their agenda for personal gain. Where does the constitution say that this type of speech is prohibited?

Those who don't have the same resources or access to the media are not going to get heard by most folks. Again where in the constitution is this required and why should it be required. If some nut believes we should have anarchy in our country but doesn't have the resources to get his message out, should we subsidize him, or maybe you like the idea of the government deciding who should be heard and who shouldn't, which is exactly what McCain Feingold does.

No, I don't think the playing field is level and McCain Feingold has made it more uneven and many in the public have been duped.
