"On Aug. 26, 2002, Vice President Cheney told the VFW, “Stated simply, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies and against us.”"

Hell, bush himself declared them FOUND during his trip to Poland last year, after we recovered the so called "mobile labs".

Maybe Bush didn't but Cheney sure as hell did:

"On Aug. 26, 2002, Vice President Cheney told the VFW, “Stated simply, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies and against us.”"

1 - My statement was only about Bush.

2 - Even Cheny didn't say that Iraqi weapons where going to be used to blow up American cities in the next few months. He didn't say they would be used against American cities. He didn't say they would be able to blow up cities, he didn't say they would be used in a matter of months, and he didn't even say they would be used but rather that they where being ammassed to use. That might be considered to imply that they will be used against our friends our allies our us, but it certainly doesn't imply that the Iraqi weapons where going to be used to blow up American cities in the next few months.

Bush direct quote
<font color=maroon>" The Iraqi regime has violated all of those obligations. It possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons. It has given shelter and support to terrorism and practices terror against its own people."</font>

cnn.com

<font color=maroon>we are resolved today, to confront every threat, from any source, that could bring sudden terror and suffering to America. </font>

These statements are very specific, and complete fabrications.

<font color=maroon>>Saddam Hussein is a threat to peace and must disarm. We agree that the Iraqi dictator must not be permitted to threaten America and the world with horrible poisons, and diseases, and gases, and atomic weapons. </font>

That is just one of the dozens of speeches Bush personally spoke (although he probably just read them from a teleprompter)
