Futility? Mais no! It is the satisfaction of a job well done- of getting to the heart of the matter, of dealing with information one can trust. You could call that futility, but I suspect that is your emotional reaction to something you don't like very much. It's never futile to check something out- I can't imagine you could go through life thinking that. Do you not double check your insurance bills? I hope you don't accept what THEY tell you- because 50 % of the time (in my experience) they've processed the claim incorrectly. Do not trust- always verify.
