Here is a quote from Briefing.com: Floor Talk: Traders play the bounce, then sell

Saw solid early bounce off lows of the morning. Indications suggest short-covering and plan by traders to play the market for an early bounce, then take profits and/or get short at short-term resistance levels in individuals names.

The danger here for those going short is that once this becomes accepted wisdom it will be proven to be wrong.

OT

I won't be surprised to see another big dump later today, a stagnant market or a rebound. One would expect that the doom and gloom is thick enough to generate some buying support but I'm just going to sit back and watch. My next 1K share buy on ASYT isn't due until $9.00ish, so if we get another market dump, I might be stepping in for more downside fun!
