"The despicable thing about this whole suicide attack strategy is that it TARGETS CIVILIANS"

I couldn't agree with you more. However, another despicable element, imo, is that many of the suicide bombers are people who recently were affected by sad events, young and old, who given a chance to think about what they were about to do might have second thoughts. Unlike a Kamikaze pilot, he had time to reflect, and didn't just lose a brother or neighbor. The PA or Al Aqsa or whoever it is has people with specific knowledge on how to finesse the right "grieving" person to give up their life, and usually not too long after making the commitment to do so. Kamikaze pilots were not people just picked off the street who may be grief stricken.
