"That's just a disguised tax you are paying to GM and Ford workers to allow them to produce at high cost without competition." I would say it is a disguised tax I pay so that my fellow Americans can live reasonably comfortable lives and send their kids to college. It is a tax so that they can afford to go out to restaurants, movies, buy their kids braces, save for retirement, and patronize American businesses in general. I do not believe we should have an "every man for himself" society where we all end up working for Wal-mart because it sells the cheapest.
