If you're referring to cell phones, mine recently gave up the ghost and I had to buy a new one. Asked salesman to point me in the direction of a graveyard for cell phones, and he pointed to a donation box in the store. I dumped it in there and took a receipt for a donation to a charity for victims of domestic abuse.

Probably can't claim more than about $10 for it, but at least it's not cluttering up a landfill--yet.
