Tax relief for those who use and invest in new energy sources, conservation and efficiency. If you use less oil you win, if you want to go guzzle you have to pay more. What's wrong with that? The new hybrid cars are going like hotcakes. And no one is going to build alternative energy sources unless there's some leadership at the top and incentives in place. Why should a Hummer driver get a tax break from Bush for guzzling more? he should pay an extra tax to drive such a gas guzzler. So the government doesn't take the gas tax money from you, it gives it right back into the new system, including to you if you go light on the oil use. We HAVE to do somthing like this now or else more wars in the middle east and we'll always be kowtowing to the F'ing Saudis who send their young over to blow us up. Bush is a total ass-kisser with the Saudis despite all his tough talk on terrorism. It's really shameful and hypocritical. But GW's first allegiance is to oil. That's the fundamental problem.
