Cray Inc posts quarterly loss, cites contract delay... Monday July 26, 4:26 pm ET SAN FRANCISCO, July 26 (Reuters) - Supercomputer maker Cray Inc. (NasdaqNM:CRAY - News) on Monday posted a quarterly loss compared with a year-ago profit due to a contract delay for a major order and a continued slow-down in the defense sector. The Seattle-based company, which plans to cut costs by 20 percent, had a net loss of $54.5 million, or 64 cents a share compared with net income of $7.9 million, or 10 cents per share a year earlier.
