Poet, the question is what IS a "fair share"?
That's the rhetoric to which I object.

It's sheer nonsense to suggest that people
in the threshhold bracket targeted by Kerry
are not currently paying a "fair share."

I find the rhetoric of the left to be
disingenuous and dishonest and that's what
I am addressing.

They present taxation as a class issue
and a "fairness" issue.

It is neither.

Please know that there are people who grew up with very little, made it all themselves through hard work, and still believe in paying their fair share.

Define fair in this context, please.

. I do hope, though, that you allow for the fact that other hardworking, thoughtful, and patriotic citizens may feel very differently about this subject.

I agree with mph 100% and recommend that those who are worried about wealth re-distribution can write as many checks as they wish to the government(s) in our country. They will find a way to spend it.
