You are right. It is very possible. But, we still don't have a sound energy policy. Do we? It is still not too late to have a good plan. Panic doesn't help.

Every one has to learn how to conserve energy. But, Americans are spoiled for too long. Only special energy taxes can change that...just like other countries are doing. This new tax revenue has to be invested into future energy development. This should be a long term commitment by our government and citizens.

My company lost nearly 1 million $ DOE grant due to budget cuts. We had to lay off all of the scientists and supporting staffs last year. Several promising projects went down the tubes just like that. All of the earlier private and government investments were wasted. Every one was a loser.
