1) longnshort asked the relevant question. Suppose Israel throws away its best weapons, then those hordes that surround it invade. Who then guarantees the lives of its citizens and the existence of the nation? The US? Come on, boy, you don't get to dodge this one. Answer or shut up. Without it you have no solution. 2) Suppose they say GFY? What then? 2) University? Do they throw their books at them? How large does this force have to be? I think the answer is "millions". Who pays? Since the Arabs will not admit the right of Israel to exist, you think they would ever agree to this? What happens when it becomes the target of their rage and suicide bombers? Establish a United Nations peacekeeping base, or university, as a buffer between the Israelis and Palestinians. The base wouldn't be there so much as to keep peace for them, as would be for training permanent UN peacekeepers to help with conflicts all over the world. The base would be educational with military training for the express purpose of peacekeeping. This act would help to add internationalized influences into the area. It would also help the local economies. What are you on? 4) What if Israel says FU? What then? Since WHEN did DC become an "international city"? Last time I checked, it was the capital of the United States of America. Strongly fund education. You must be a liberal. How about this: Get a coalition together, US, hopefully NATO (France can stay out if they want- -who cares?), Russia. The coalition guarantees the existing borders against armed invasion by neighbors. Attackers can expect at least tactical nukes- -no screwing around. Any nation knowingly harboring or encouraging terrorists to attack any other nation in the region gets the same treatment. How likely do you think it is Syria or Iran would take on US fleet ballistic missile subs?
