In 1999, Pizza Hut conducted a nationwide literacy campaign, and asked the 50 governors what were their "favorite childhood books." Of the seven Bushie listed, four of them were published many years after, well, you'd thought he'd moved onto bigger and better things. Something with an adult-theme.

In fact, when Junior was asked about his favorite story from childhood, he cited "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". Amazon rates it as "baby preschool". It was published in 1983 when Georgie was 37 years old. It's the book he was reading to the FL kids on 9-11, and it's the book he reads most often to other kids, and presumably, to himself.
