you know that Alaska is a huge recipient of federal funds where California has a deficit right?

The study covered the federal fiscal year 2002, which ran from Oct. 1, 2001, to Sept. 30, 2002.

New Mexico topped the list, receiving $2.37 for every dollar. New Jersey, which took in only 62 cents, landed at the bottom.

Other high-ranking states included North Dakota ($2.07 for each tax dollar), Alaska ($1.91), Mississippi ($1.89) and West Virginia ($1.82).

States with a low ratio of federal funds per tax dollar include Connecticut (65 cents), New Hampshire (66 cents), Nevada (74 cents) and Massachusetts (75 cents).
(California not mentioned but we get back less than Mass)

BTW is McClintock a uniter or a divider would you say? I'm sick of these divisive republicans hitting on these social issues that we know the country can't agree on. My feeling is that Arnold is a uniter although to be fair, he is not a social conservative. I don't have much against McClintock, I think he's the right man for his job.

I think we all know whats wrong with schools in California but it is interesting that we have the best university system BY FAR of any state system.
