OT: Sideways consolidation?

This is the first time since the rally began in March that the major sectors have undergone even a 5% correction.

I am on record expecting a rally for the last few days. We are oversold so it should happen. How high will it go?

I don't know but I sure don't expect sideways trading. Short term up. Longer term I expect further sector rotation that will not favor technology.

OT For short term trading purposes, I think the best (and safest) money can be made during periods of Sideways action. It allows positions to be taken and built for later. It gives minute to minute losses time to become gains with patience as trading demand ebbs and flows.

As opposed to group run off the cliff up/down type environments where you have to be immediately right or suffer the consequences.
