but some of these folks need to be shaken. People see things differently. Shaking doesn't change that. <g> The key issue is defense against this threat and which candidate will do better at it. You have to understand that that is your opinion. If you insist that it is the "true and right way to see things," you come across as a nut. You don't want your daughter to think you're a nut. Nuts don't change anyone's mind and they just damage relationships. You can explore your difference of opinion with her better if you don't take an absolutist tone, which is inherently domineering. The first step in losing the tone is recognizing that what you are preaching is "just your opinion." It may be the wisest of opinions, or not, but it's still an opinion.
