The Iraqi people will make their own decisions

How? From the barrel of a gun?

Aimed between different armed groups each vying to implement their OWN decisions upon one another?

Something tells me there are enough Iraqis out there who are not interested in your vision of Iraq's future either.... They want a system where the governmental leaders are accountable to the electorate. They are tired of the brutality and repression you seem to find so inevitable (desirable?)..

All they will need is sufficient coalition forces to assist them until they are able to establish their own economic and political infrastructure..

Because what the Iraqi people REALLY want (like the majority of most people around the world) is economic opportunity and political freedom, NOT PERPETUAL VIOLENCE.

And the US is not imposing a solution... All we're imposing is that Iraq will be governed by some form of democratic system elected by its people. After that, the Iraqis can decide what solutions are best.. peacefullly..

I mean, my god... you seem to think that democracy is some kind of horrid beast that no Arab or muslim would desire.. But yet, millions of them are living here in the US..

Ask them if they want to go back to their original countries... Not a chance...

Hawk

Contrast your fears of what might happen against the barbarity, cruelty and genocidal murder of what *was* happening a few short months ago and the choice is obvious.
