Indeed, if Saddam disarmed, it was not the UN that did it, it was the United States keeping up containment throughout the '90s........

Wrong. It was the UN inspection teams that documented and destroyed the WMD programs.

To give the U.S. credit, it also helped when we stopped selling Saddam materials for WMD.
