Hi Neocon; I don't doubt that the Germans illegally executed people during WW2. For that matter, I don't doubt that the French illegally executed prisoners in Algeria, or that the US every now and then, illegally executed prisoners in Vietnam. These are things that are well documented.

As far as what is happening in Iraq, there are instances of well documented illegal execution of prisoners. Abbas is not one of them, at least yet. But the simple truth is that American soldiers have been charged with illegally executing prisoners so it's rather difficult to deny the possibility.
