He can be very influential. Think of what dittoheads would do if a Democrat president tried to oust Limbaugh from the air. Revolution! And Howard isn't even a Democrat.


No one is trying to "oust" Howard Stern from the air. All that is taking place is the FCC is exercising its authority to impose fines on broadcasters for polluting the airwaves with indecent material. Its really a very simple equation. If the broadcasters feel they can make more money by having Stern around even in light of increased FCC fines, they'll keep him around. Otherwise, he'll be shown the door.

It's simple economics, not some nefarious conspiracy to silence the guy.
