I almost wish it was over so that we could eliminate one of these guys from the daily news.

The only way to survive the next eight months will be with a full shaker of salt firmly held in hand and sprinkled liberally in all directions.

It's all basically amusing.

The reality is, except for those whose jobs depend on one candidate coming out ahead of the other, it will make VERY little difference who is elected President in November. The power in this country isn't in the White House. I won't say it's quite as bad as tweedledum and tweedledee, but close.

Oh, different rich people will benefit if Kerry is elected than if Bush is re-elected. People will get, keep, or lose high paying government jobs and their perks. Lots of ink will be spilled, journalists will opine, and all that. But to you and me, it will make very little difference.

I'm just amused by all these people who argue so passionately about something that has so little real importance.
