AS, RE: "Kerry votes when his vote counts."

6 people didn't vote. Meanwhile, the budget passed by only 6 votes. 51 vs 45. It's wrong to say his vote didn't count here.

I'm a Democrat too, but do not look the other way when another Dem makes a mistake. If anything, we should hold Dems to a high standard.

" McCain missed 90% of his votes while running in 2000. it's normal. "

I think it's irresponsible behavior.

CalTrans just voted down a board member at a public company who didn't have adequate attendance at board meetings. Why should the gov't sector be granted permission to be worse?

We get what we expect. Start expecting congressional leaders should vote. It's what they are paid to do.

Regards,
Amy J

It is wrong. They have a job to do and they are being paid to do so. If you had employees in your business, you would expect them to show up for work, especially when you are working on the annual budget.

It is wrong for candidates to put themselves before their job. Sorry AS, but I disagree with you. It does not matter who the candidate is, they should be at work. Kerry is not representing the people right now, he is only representing himself.
