Ted, S. Korea never completely cleans itself up.

Believe it or not, this could actually be an improvement from the status quo of decades. The scandals and the bribes aren't new; in fact, it's been going on for quite a while. Only in modern times (i.e. post-Olympics of 88) is the dirty laundry starting to be aired out.

Hell, what am I talking about.....you already know....you just bought a house.

I bought a house because of two reasons:

1) I'm married now, and we'd rather live in a house riding out any dips in real estate than stay stuck in apartments doing the same.

2) Even though there is a bubble, there are also very few new houses that are being built, mainly due to zoning. Meanwhile, people continue moving to the O.C. End result is that even if interest rates were to rise, the supply-n-demand imbalance of this area will counteract any downward pressure. Mind you, this only applies to where I'm living now; I'm not sure the same supply-n-demand imbalance exists where I used to live (Oregon).
