If you look at some individual major currencies you can see that some have (so far) changed trend (like EUR); others are so far merely in the process of bouncing strongly.

USDJPY has been in a tight range for some time; measured move takes it back to resistance above and then what... no one knows until then.

Whether this is just a bounce in a to-be-continued decline or not can't be foretold. In the meantime, I'm ok with a USD$ appreciation right now, personally. If it happens to coincide with a market rally of any proportions its a double positive whammy for Canucks like me.
