The point is obvious: Hastert agrees with Kerry. Bush's administration is crooked, they don't give "straight numbers" even to their own.

I'm sure you've read how the administration burned the Republicans in congress by lying about the cost of the medicare bill.

These guys are crooked, that's one thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on.

Q: Sir, what did you mean by that last comment: That was with the President; I don't deal with his people anymore?

Hastert: Well, we weren't getting straight numbers from his people, and they changed their mind in the middle of the process. So we are going to do what we feel we need to do.
