The first 5 are completely irrelevant ,and the cause of so much torture , persecutions and death throughout the centuries into todays' insane world of fanatacs and fundamentalist----> "holy chosen ones" ... The 6th commandment shows some hope that it mentions compassion , but only on the favored chosen few , so what kind of love really is that ? The 7th commandment also shows promise , in that it asks the witness of creation to embrace the holiness of all ...and yet the aborigine or native american indian also knew this love of creation and revered the animals he killed , and like the Sons of Abraham did make blood sacrifices too to that end . Nothing new in this commandment , except the sons of Abraham far excelled the native americans for instance in the mass slaughter of animals by the 10's of 1000's in the "Holy Temple of Jerusalem " , that was built by slave labor enforced by the righteous King David and those 15 tribes he enslaved around him ? The 8th 9th and 10th commandments were stolen from Babylon and the Pagans of keeping the Sabbath day holy , but so is most of your religion in the first place ...stolen. And it was a nice try too , i might add. The word "Sabbath" comes directly from the word Sabbatu from the Babylonian meaning day of rest. (as you get the word "God" originally from the aryan Sanskrit...the word for "light") The 11th notes that God created the world in 7 days ...well we know this to be patently untrue , as the world is quite a bit older than 4,003 yrs old , and was not "created" at 9am in the morning as the Church positioned back in the 6th century along with flat earths that were the center of the universe.13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's ***these remaining commandements seem to condone slavery if I am not mistaken ? Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's man & maidservants ? Not killing or stealing was fairly much already known in the ancient world , but awefully nice of Moses to mention them again , though children of nature already knew these things some 50,000 yrs earlier...and in earlier cultures they were codified into laws as well. Nothing new or more "holy" in this , but makes for some fine story telling by the campfire...or when preaching to the choir of the chosen few. regards Mars
