The IRS has clamped down very hard on offshore tax evasion the past few years - you can find the news articles.

The offshoring tax credit would be easy to solve if both parties have the political will. But don't hold your breath.

The blame and bash game started decades ago in American politics. Both sides keep doing it on TV and in person because it works with a majority of the voters. And voters themselves now keep it alive with the rich variety of name-calling and insults all over SI and hate-talk radio. It's a national pasttime that our kids are learning too, from their elders. Wonderful, huh?

As for solutions, I won't cut and paste for you, but if you go past the sound bites and read the candidates' position papers, I think you will find much of the detail you claim isn't there. The proposal to roll back the tax cuts won't classify me as super wealthy or change my status - and probably not yours unless you are in the top 1%. Have you heard otherwise in black and white?
