Thank you for your complete answer. We may disagree on political issues, but we can also share experience to learn more.

Management today is expected to maximize profits for the companies at which most are so over paid. The easiest way to do so is to reduce labor costs by shifting work overseas.

Management is profit driven, and their comp packages are tied to it. With the size of comp packages offered, it is no wonder that they will do everything to save a penny. That is not the fault of Washington. Boards are driving up management salaries to an area that is ridiculous. ( a stronger term should be used)

Do I blame any individual for this? No. This has been going on for a long time, but has finally come to the forefront...

Now Washington has to make some decisions. They had better be right or the pendulum will swing against us. We must be competitive and our markets must be protected should they be wrong.

Productivity regarding outsourcing is not the issue, I am in agreement with you. I do know from a manufacturing background that we have slowed highering becuase of gains in productivity. Benefits are driving industry to invest in productivity, not additional labor...
