In most respects, Kerry is now also a moderate, in case you hadn't noticed. The only way the RNC can call him a liberal is to look back 15 years and ignore the fact that his main partner in the senate has been McCain.

Times were different in the 70's and 80's. In the 70's after all Bush Sr. was a fairly liberal guy. So were a lot of current conservatives. So if they can change why not Kerry too? I know I have changed. Just a part of getting older and wiser. Moderation is certainly a wise place to be with most things in life. Everything in moderation. Bush ran as a moderate but turned into a creepy hardliner once he got into power. Maybe it was Cheney who forced him there or maybe it was all a ruse. Either way it stinks.
