I personally dont use clean fuels yet but am seriously considering buying a hybrid next year. Clean fuels take time because the White House has to act first. Instead, what I do is turn off the heat, wear warm clothes in the house, drive only when I need to and turn off lights. I also don't use air conditioning unless really necessary. Conservatiion is the biggest single weapon we have against Arab oil. Cheney poo-pooed consrvation in his famous 2000 speech, and Bush rammed a wedge into the issue by claiming conservationists want us to "give up our way of living" (ie waste and pollution) Conservative Bill O'Reilly has railed against Bushies for supporting waste and pollution. One of the few issues he disagrees with them on. McCain is also on board as a conservationist and moderate environmentalist. when Jk is president, McCain should be the new speaker (if not the VP) so we can get cooperation going again.
