Good article. I have been posting for a long time the necessity to cut spending, and that if there must be a tax increase for it to work, then everyone must be increased. The Kerry scheme is simply to get elected. Washington is a huge spending machine out of control, and it is going to get worse. We must cut the size of our government and reduce spending. Kerry is using the age old tactic to attack the rich and even has classified upper middle class today as the rich. We need honesty and integrity in our candidates. Neither Bush nor Kerry will ever be the leaders that our country needs. Too bad people are willing to hire what the party wants, instead of what is best for our country. Kenneth and AS want tax increases on a small group, everyone else can be subsidized and not contribute more, and little is accomplished except class warfare. I tried for them to admit that spending is out of control, but they want to push the higher tax agenda without understanding the budget. To borrow a Clintonian cliché, the cause of today’s deficits is not a lack of tax revenue, "It’s the spending stupid." Truth be told, repealing the tax cuts won’t lower the deficit much, and neither party seems to want a balanced budget enough to cut spending.
